ant bear
When Anthony Berenguel started making his own music, he came up with the name "ant bear"—a mashup of the first syllables of his first and last names. It was catchy, easy to remember, and a lot more fun than using his full name.
Anthony records all the instruments himself—guitar, bass, drums, percussion, and keyboards—right from his jam shack, which he calls the Tambayan Choza, or “hangout hut.” Tambayan is Tagalog for “hangout,” and choza is Spanish for “hut”—a perfect blend that reflects both his Filipino and Mexican roots.
The music of ant bear is best described as experimental—maybe even a little weird. It doesn’t fit neatly into any one genre, and that’s exactly how he likes it. He uses SoundCloud as a placeholder for demos, while completed songs are published to Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms. If you want to purchase digital downloads you can do so via bandcamp.
Enjoy the music! Thank you for listening!!
